Kevin told me not to go out for a walk alone. I knew he was probably right, as it was late. But I wanted to see if she would follow me.
An hour later, maybe three, I caught a glimpse of her silhouette in the passenger seat of a brown Citation. I couldn’t see her blue eyes, but my heart was still distinctly sewn to her sleeve.
